Kangana Ranaut is seen promoting her upcoming film Razakar: The Silent Genocide of Hyderabad. During the promotion of this film, Kangana praised South Indian films a lot. When she was asked if she considers herself a ‘Southern Siren’ i.e. the voice of the South? After this, Kangana said, “Of course, not only my look but I myself am very much influenced by the South.” This is the reason that I am currently working a lot in the South film industry. Even though I wear a Banarasi saree, I am a South Indian at heart.
Talking about the film Razakar, Kangana said, “We have always read in our books that Gandhi was and Nehru. There was none other than them. Today, when we see huge statues of personalities like Sardar Vallabh Bhai Patel, we start thinking what did they do? Let me tell you that this publicity, media and marketing has been going on since time immemorial. Even in the times of the emperors, they used to have their followers who preached themselves. Everything we know about history is a product of marketing. So those who knew how to preach used to go to London and give interviews. He used to promote himself a lot. Even if he takes a hundred people with him, the whole world will talk about him. He used to say that there is a fast to death here and there is a march.

Next Kangana said, “If we talk about Vallabhbhai Patel, he is called Shiva. The way Lord Shiva took care of the limbs of Mata Sati. Similarly, it was Vallabh Bhai Patel who held our disintegrating India together after independence. Hyderabad got independence 396 days after India got independence. Because the Nizams there did not want to go with India. But the public wanted to go. So when you hear today that the truce gang is active and claims that we were never the United Nations. Show them this history. The movie ‘Razaakar’ tells the story of that India’s integrity.
